November is Family Time!
The Simply Soft family of yarns is growing!
Have you ever bought a fabulous pair of pants and built your wardrobe around those favorite, great-fitting pants? Here at Caron we feel the same way about our favorite yarn, Simply Soft. So you can mix and match textures, colors and weights of yarn, we've created a whole family of Simply Soft yarns. They have the same wonderfully soft texture and the same delightful sheen as the original Simply Soft. And, like Simply Soft, all these yarns can be machine washed and dried! So extend a warm welcome to all the members of the Simply Soft family of yarn!

The newest members of the Simply Soft family of yarns were created so you can combine these three coordinating yarns in one project. For example, use Autumn Red Simply Soft to trim a throw or jacket knitted or crocheted in Autumn Shadows – then add a narrower border using Autumn Red Tweed. You can also create a great tote using Simply Soft Quick – and add a flap or braided cording strap using the same color but in regular 4-ply Simply Soft. Then you can make the tote truly special by embroidering and adding beads!
We hope you've had a chance to stitch a few newborn caps for the Save the Children Caps to the Capital campaign. Caron is a proud sponsor of this wonderful program that helps save newborn babies' lives all around the world. The goal is one million caps by 2007, so keep stitching and turn in your caps soon so that the Save the Children staff can handle all your wonderful caps!
Caron is also a sponsor of OnePixelataTime.org, a website designed to raise funds for breast cancer research. This innovative site allows you donate funds and win prizes, too.

Read our newest winning story in our "My Stitching Story" program. We received so many wonderful stories. We hope you enjoy Nadir's winning story (and the 3 runners up). And check back often to read more wonderful stories from your fellow readers.
We want to hear your story. Send your favorite story about knitting or crocheting to editor@caron-connections.com. Your story will be entered into a drawing for your choice of 6 skeins of any current Caron yarn. We will select a winner for every issue of Caron Connections, about twice each month. Winners' stories will be featured on Caron.com and Caron Connections.
We look forward to hearing your stories! |
