Spring is
on the way!

Greet the season wrapped in the brilliant colors and delectable softness of Simply Soft Brites!
If you are like me, when the seasons change, my color choices change, too. When it's time to design a new spring garment, baby blanket or throw, I find myself reaching for a brighter palette, saturated and vibrant, like a bouquet of Gerbera daisies, only in yarn. Our Simply Soft Brites give me all the colors I need to step into spring with color. Consider stitching a favorite throw or baby blanket pattern in this brighter palette, or sample one of the free projects below.

Read our newest winning story in our "My Stitching Story" program. We hope you enjoy Paula's winning story (and the 3 runners up). And check back often to read more wonderful stories from your fellow readers.

We want to hear your story. Send your favorite story about knitting or crocheting to editor@caron-connections.com. Your story will be entered into a drawing for your choice of 6 skeins of any current Caron yarn. We will select a winner for every issue of Caron Connections. Winners' stories will be featured on Caron.com and Caron Connections.

I'm so delighted to announce that through your generosity—and busy hooks and needles—the Save the Children Caps to the Capital campaign gathered over 260,000 knit and crocheted hats for newborns to be given to preemies in third world countries. The image you see here, records the donation of the first hat to a mother and child in Malawi. Check out the Caps to the Capital website where you'll find information about the program, plus interesting trivia, like which state contributed the most caps (we won't tell!).

Watch for your next issue of Caron Connections where we'll announce a cool online Star Auction to benefit Rwanda Knits.

Until then, happy stitching,

Cari Clement
