Michele S. writes...I’ve been making lots and lots of scarves this year – both to sell and to give as presents. There are so many patterns and so many styles that I never get bored with them. Most people like to receive them, too – they’re practical and pretty.

Editor's note: Try the two scarves pictured here for quick and easy projects.

Joanne M. in Burbank, CA writes...At the moment, I've got a 4th of July tote I'm crocheting out of Simply Soft ... I'm also making various design squares for an afghan. It will be for a very dear friend, and I'm using various pastels/garden colors and white for the squares. The edging is a 'rainbow' of colors used in the afghan with a white shell/lace-like edging I made up. I know she'll love it because I made one similar for myself and she went nuts over it and how soft it was...that's when I decided what her Christmas gift was going to be this year!

hen you search for a new knitting project, look no further than Boston, our adorable cabled cardigan designed by Susan Shildmyer. and knit in Country. The all-over cable pattern will keep you interested, while the size of the project means nearly-instant gratification.

Country is a great choice when knitting or crocheting for babies and children. It's blend of merino wool for warmth and microfine acrylic for bounce and washability, helps you create easy-care projects that are soft next to baby's skin and look darling every time.
