Paint it Pretty

We love working with color, especially when we can match one of our gorgeous Simply Soft Paints multi-colored palettes with a matching solid color of Simply Soft. That's what designer Kathy Perry did in her luscious Cabled Front Cardigan. The beautiful cabled front edges in Autumn Red perfectly match the highlights of Autumn Red found in the body of the sweater. Have fun picking out your own color combinations, as all of our Simply Soft Paints colors match one or more Simply Soft solids.

olor is magical. It can set a mood, brighten a day, send a message. Color plus yarn is even more magical, as demonstrated in Kim Guzman's stellar St. Petersburg Coat. Just by holding three different colors of merino-blend Country yarn together in the single-crocheted body of this coat, Kim has created a unique fabric that is both sophisticated and fashionable. It's almost as if Kim created her own "marled" yarn just by combining three coordinating colors. Then for the perfect finishing touch, Kim used just one of the three colors to create the generous shawl collar. It's magic!

hen stitching for those little ones, it's always a bonus when a handmade piece can span a season or two, especially when it's as cute as this one. Designer Kelly Klem has created the Dolphin Bay Eyelet Baby Top to work just as well in summer as it does in fall. When temperatures drop, just layer this lovely knitted eyelet piece over a long-sleeved tee and leggings, and your tot is all set. Spa's exceptional drape and softness make a perfect yarn for this project since it makes beautiful lace, is soft against baby's skin—and it's machine washable, too.
