I've stopped by the Caron blog for the first of my ongoing series, KnitSpotting-- an ode to knit and crochetwear as a part of pop culture. Look for peeks at knitted garments & goodies that I've come across along with tips, tricks and technique info to go with them. This week, Fair Isle sweaters on Fox's Glee!

The drape and softness of Marilyn Losee's Azani Shawl knit in Country make this the perfect wear-anywhere piece. The horseshoe cables are bordered by simple 4-stitch and 2-stitch cables and the edging is done in a seed stitch. The shape of the Azani Shawl is a simple rectangle with two slits knit into one end; the opposite end tapers to an extension that inserts through the slits to secure the shawl. Ingenious!

We wish you could see and touch this lovely wrap. Designed by the incomparable Treva McCain in three shades of Simply Soft†® and Simply Soft® Heather, the Floral Motif Wrap is one of a kind. The flowers that anchor both ends of the wrap give this piece its visual appeal, and the dark green border that encloses the motifs also borders the body of the wrap, pulling the whole look together for striking effect.

This summer, whether you are headed to a family beach vacation, or to a nap on a porch swing , our Lacy Throw crocheted in just two colors of Simply Soft® is the perfect piece to take along. Tammy Hildebrand's lovely floral openwork lace is so easy and the soft blue and white color combination whispers "summer's here" .
