I've had so much fun over the past two weeks, watching people crochet the Urban Jungle Beanie and share pictures via the web! I'd love to share some of those pictures with readers of the Caron Blog, so if you haven't already, please add yours to either our Flickr Group or Facebook page. Thanks!

Not a crocheter? Don't fret! I just cast on for a knit version of the same style beanie using Simply Soft® Paints. Stay tuned for the pattern, coming soon!

All this week on writer/editor Jenny Doh's website, you can enter to win a signed copy of my book, Craft Corps and a grab bag of Caron yarns. Just go to: http://blog.crescendoh.com/crescendo and post a comment!

Until next week...

Stitch.Rock.Love,

Our very own Cari Clement designed this lovely Xian Kimono Jacket in two different crochet stitches. Cari describes the jacket beautifully in her own words: "I’d planned on just making the Xian jacket for fun for myself, but when I finished it, I thought it would be a good silhouette for so many other crocheters, so I wrote up the pattern and took a shot of the jacket. " We're so glad you did, Cari, and we hope you are, too.

We are so delighted at the recent popularity of cowl infinity scarves. You can't open any fashion magazine these days without seeing one draped around the neck of a celebrity or two. Easy to make, easy to wear, they provide instant yarn gratification at its best. Marilyn Losee's Cozy Cowl, knit in Simply Soft® Eco, is wonderfully soft, with deep ribbing and lovely drape. So quick and easy to make, you'll want to stitch a few--one to complement every outfit!

The bright cheery colors of our One Pound yarn are the perfect palette for Kim Guzman's Pennsylvania Dutch Throw. The bold, graphic crocheted tulip motifs alternating with solid color squares, produce a celebration of color and design. Finished off with a happy checkered border, this throw is sure to be noticed—and treasured—for years to come.
