This week, I was sitting in an Austin pizza joint with family and friends when I looked over and spotted a woman wearing an Urban Planner beanie. You know how big of a fan I am of spying knitwear (live and on screen) but, a "knit spotting" of my own design—well, that's a lovely way to start a new year! Not to get all cheese-ball gooshy on you, but I feel so proud and honored when stitchers put time, love and hard work into making something from one of my patterns. Thank you so much to those of you who shared FO pictures in 2010 with me on FaceBook, Twitter and Flickr. I hope you'll continue to do so in 2011--not just with my designs, but all of Caron's projects-- by adding photos to our Cuckoo for Caron Flickr pool.

Happy New Year,

Winter Posies Lap Robe
Sometimes what you really need to keep warm is a cuddly lap robe that covers, well, your lap. Paired with a good book and cup of tea, Andrea Graciarena's Winter Posies Lap Robe is in 2 colors of choosy Simply Soft. The two-color design and scalloped edging complement the crocheted posy design beautifully.
