Last week, I launched a charity initiative to benefit children with Epilepsy called the Purple Stitch Project. As the mother of a son with a seizure disorder, I've seen first-hand the isolation that a kid can feel in a situation like this. Purple Stitch Project will give gifts of knit, crocheted & sewn purple (the awareness color for Epilepsy) items to babies, kids and teens who suffer from seizures. These items will serve as reminders that they're not alone -- they have a community behind them. First up recipients: the campers who will be attending Camp Brainstorm in Bastrop, TX at the end of July. Help me put a cuddly plushie, like these ninjas in each of their arms!
