CARI CLEMENT NAMED DIRECTOR OF FASHION AND DESIGN FOR CARON

Caron® International, major supplier of handknitting yarns, announces that Cari Clement has been named Director of Fashion and Design for the company. Cari will be assisted by Kathy Pryce, Fashion and Design Coordinator.

Cari brings a wealth of experience to this newly created position at Caron. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Textiles from the University of Massachusetts and has also attended the Sorbonne in Paris and the Fashion Institute in New York. Her extensive career in the yarn industry has included: owning two retail yarn stores; designing a successful line of fashion knitwear; publishing hundreds of original hand knitting, machine knitting and crochet patterns in top magazines; editing Ultimate Knitting Magazine for Sweater Machine owners; and appearing on air for 9 years promoting machine knitting products. Additionally, Cari was the president, primary shareholder and marketing director of CC Products Co., Inc. (Bond America), manufacturer of knitting machines and related products.

As Fashion and Design Director for Caron, Cari will spearhead design for all Caron yarns, formulate and direct Caron’s fashion direction, participate in new yarn development and continue new product development for Bond America branded products.
