MATERIALS
Caron International's Simply Soft Boucle
#0016 Black (A), 2 balls
#0009 Limelight (B), 1 ball
#0005 Blue Mint (C), 1 ball
#0015 Heather Grey (D), 1 ball
One pair size US 11 (8 mm), or size to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle (tn)
Row counter (optional)
Bobbins (optional)
GAUGE
In Stockinette stitch, 8 sts and 12 rows = 4"/10 cm
Note: Gauge is not critical for this project.
STITCHES USED
Stockinette stitch (St st): Knit on RS, purl on WS.
NOTES
Work Color Block sections (see Diagram/Schematic) in Intarsia method, using a separate bobbin or ball of yarn for each section across, twisting colors around each other to prevent holes.
HELPFUL
Wind balls of B and C into smaller balls, or onto bobbins before beginning.
WRAP
Using A, loosely CO 36 sts.
(RS) Begin St st; work even for 2 rows; cut A.
Following diagram for color placement, joining and cutting colors as needed, work even until diagram is completed as follows:
Work 28 rows using B/C, 4 rows A, 6 rows D, 18 rows C/B/C, 48 rows A, 18 rows C/B/C, 6 rows D, 4 rows A, 28 rows B/C, and 2 rows A.
BO all sts loosely.
FINISHING
Using tn, weave in all ends, reinforcing color joins if necessary.
