MATERIALS

Caron International's Simply Soft
 
and

Caron International's Simply Soft Brites

12 oz. Black (Color A),
6 oz. Grape (Color B), 6 oz. Lemonade (Color C).
PLEASE NOTE: Yarn usage may vary depending on your particular yarn techniques.
Size G crochet hook or size to reach gauge below.

 

GAUGE
4 sc = 1"; dc, ch 2 and dc = 1". TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

BACK
With color A, ch 76(82,88).
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across - 75(81-87), sc. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 5 for first dc and ch 2, * sk 2 sc, (do not count sp that
has ch 5 for first dc now and through out pattern) dc in next sc, ch 2;
rep from * across, end dc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Sc in first dc, 2 sc in ch-2 sp, sc in dc, * 2 sc in next ch-2 sp, sc in dc, rep from * to last space, 2 sc in last sp, sc in 3rd ch of starting ch. Cut yarn. Turn.
Row 4: Join color B, ch 3 for first dc, * sk 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc (shell completed); rep from * across, end 1 dc in last sc. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 5 for first dc and ch 2, * retaining last loop of ea st on hook, dc in ea of next 3 dc, yo and through all loops on hook (cluster over shell completed), ch 2; rep from * across, end dc in last st. Cut yarn. Turn.
Row 6: Join color A, sc in first dc, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp, * 3 sc in next ch-2 sp; rep from * across to last space, 3 sc in last space, sc in 3rd ch of starting ch. 75(81,87) sc. Turn.
Row 7: Rep Row 2.
Row 8: Rep Row 3.
Row 9: With color C, rep Row 4.
Row 10: With color C, rep Row 5.
Row 11: Rep Row 6.
Repeat Rows 2 through 11 until 14(15,16)” from beg, or desired length to underarm. Place a marker at ea edge for armhole. Continue in pattern as established until about 8(9,10)” above armhole marker, end pattern Row 3 or Row 8. Fasten off.

 

FRONT
Make same as back.

 

SLEEVES
With color A, ch 71(77,83).
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across. 70(76,82) sc. Beg
Row 2: Work in pattern same as back until 17(18,18.5)” from beg, end pattern Row 3 or Row 8. Fasten off.

FINISHING:
Sew front and back tog at shoulders for 4(4.5,5)” on each side. Sew sleeves in place from marker to marker. Sew underarm and side seams.

Care Instructions: Machine Wash: warm water, gentle cycle. Machine Dry: low heat, delicate cycle.
