TECHNIQUE USED: Crochet

Please keep in mind that you should always begin with a gauge swatch and be sure to convert yardage for any substitute yarn.

MATERIALS:
Caron Cozi: 5 oz. / 180 yds. Royal Teal
Needles: Size K/10.5 and L/11 (6.50 and 8.00 mm) crochet hook or
size to reach gauge below.

PLEASE NOTE:
Yarn usage may vary depending on your particular yarn techniques.

GAUGE:
In patt with smaller hook, each (dc, ch 1, dc) measures 1"
across. TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

HAT:
With smaller hook, ch 4. Join with a slip st to form ring.
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 3, (counts as first dc throughout), 11 dc into ring— 12 dc. Join with slip st to top of ch 3. Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc into same st as slip st, *2 dc into next st. Repeat from * around—24 dc. Join with slip st to top of ch 3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc into same st as slip st, *dc into next dc, 2 dc into next dc. Repeat from * around, ending with dc into next dc—36 dc. Join with slip st to top of ch 3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc into same st as slip st, *dc into next 2dc, 2 dc into next dc. Repeat from * around, ending with dc into next 2 dc—48 dc. Join with slip st to top
of ch 3.
Rnd 5: Ch 4, *skip next dc, dc into next dc, ch 1. Repeat from * around, ending with slip st to third ch of ch-4. Rnds 6-8: As Rnd 5.
Rnds 9-11: With larger hook, as Rnd 5. Fasten off.

KEYHOLE SCARF
With smaller hook, ch 106.
Foundation Row (RS): Dc into sixth ch from hook, *ch 1, skip next ch, dc into next ch. Repeat from * across. Ch 4, turn.
Row 1: Skip first dc, *dc into next dc, ch 1. Repeat from * across, ending row with dc into third ch of turning-ch-4. Ch 4, turn.
Rows 2-4: As Row 1. Ch 4, turn.
Row 5: Skip first dc, (dc into next dc, ch 1) ten times, dc into next dc, ch 7, skip next 3 dc, *dc into next dc, ch 1. Repeat from * across, ending row with dc into third ch of turning-ch-4. Ch 4, turn.
Row 6: Skip first dc, (dc into next dc, ch 1) 35 times, dc into next dc, (ch 1, skip next ch, dc into next ch) 3 times, ch 1, *dc into next dc, ch 1. Repeat from * across, ending row with dc into third ch of turning-ch-4. Ch 4, turn.
Rows 7-9: As Row 1. Fasten off.

Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water. Lay flat to dry.
