SCARF/COLLAR First Ruffle With A, CO 247 sts. Do not join. Rows 1-9: Work Rows 1-9 of Fancy St patt. Rows 10-17: Work Rows 2-9 of Fancy St patt. Rows 18-19: Work Rows 2-3 of Fancy St patt. Row 20: K2, *k2tog, k5, sl 1, k1, psso; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2—193 sts. Row 21: P. Rows 22-23: Work in St st. On last row, place all sts on holder, do not fasten off. Second Ruffle With B, CO 247 sts. Rows 1-9: Rep Rows 1-9 of First Ruffle. Row 10: Rep Row 20 of First Ruffle. Rows 11-13: Rep Rows 21-23 of First Ruffle. On last row, leave all sts on needle, fasten off B. Joining Row 1: Place Second Ruffle on top of First Ruffle. Matching st for st, using A from First Ruffle, k across, working through both the sts from the First Ruffle and the Second Ruffle, at the same time. Rows 2-3: With A, work in St st. Place all sts on holder, do not fasten off. Third Ruffle Work same as for Second Ruffle. Joining Row 1: Place Third Ruffle on top of joined First and Second Ruffle. With A, k across, matching st for st as before, do not fasten off. Trim Rows 1-3: Work in Rev St st. BO all sts kwise.
FINISHING Using yarn needle weave in ends. For best results, completely immerse in cool water and lie flat to dry.
