In pattern, 10 sts and 10 rows = 4"/10cm.

Chain (ch), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), single crochet (sc)
PATTERN STITCH
Griddle Stitch (over odd number of sts)
Row 1: Ch 1, sc in first dc, *dc in next sc, sc in next dc; repeat from * across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as dc here and throughout), sk first sc,*sc in next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across, turn.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for Griddle st.
NOTES
1. Wind colors A, B, C, and D onto separate bobbins, wind color E onto two separate bobbins. Use a different bobbin for each section of color.
2. To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over, yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Drop old color to WS of piece, continue work with new color.
3. To make blanket, work each row in Griddle Stitch pattern, changing color as shown in Color Chart. Each square of Color Chart represents one stitch. Read right side (RS) rows from right to left. Read wrong side (WS) rows from left to right.
BLANKET
With A, ch 112.
Note: Refer to Color Chart as you work each row, changing color as shown in chart.
Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *dc in next ch, sc in next ch; repeat from * across—111 sts.
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as dc here and throughout), sk first sc,*sc in next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first dc, *dc in next sc, sc in next dc; repeat from * across, turn.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3, and continue to change colors as shown in Color Chart until all 81 rows of chart have been completed.
FINISHING
Using yarn needle, weave in ends.
