Edging

At end of Row 18, 3 dc in last st, pivot work 90 degrees to right, [sc, dc] in ends of rows across, 3 dc in 1st st of Row 1, [sc, dc] across to last st, 3 dc in last st, [sc, dc] in ends of rows, 2 dc in 1st st of Row 18, join with a sl st to 1st st of Row 18. Fasten off.

Sew pocket to pillow front.

 

FINISHING

Join Front and Back, and Edge Pillow

Hold WS of front and back together. Working through both thicknesses, join yarn with a sc at widest point of pillow.

Rnd 1: Working through both thicknesses, sc evenly spaced around pillow to widest point on opposite side. Stuff pillow with fiberfill. Sc across, join with a sl st to first sc, do not turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, bs in each sc around. Fasten off.

Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.

In pat st, 19 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10cm

Gauge is not critical for this project.

 

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS

Dbl-inc (double increase): Knit into loop below next st, knit into back of next st, knit into loop below next st again.

Cross 2LK (cross 2 stitches left): Knit into the back loop of 2nd st on left hand needle, but do not drop st off; knit into the back of the 1st st (skipped st), drop both sts off.

Knot (knitted knot): (Yo, pass the 2nd st on right needle over the 1st st and the yo) twice.

K3tog (double decrease slanted right): Knit next 3 sts together through front loops.

K3togb (double decrease slanted left): Knit next 3 sts together through the back loops.

K2tog (knit 2 sts together): Knit 2 sts together through front loops.

Sew pocket to pillow front. Join front and back of pillow.

Edging: With WS of front and back tog, working through both thicknesses, join yarn with a single crochet (sc) at widest the point of pillow.

Rnd 1: Working through both thicknesses, sc evenly spaced around pillow to widest point on opposite side; stuff pillow with fiberfill, then sc to end, join with a sl st to first sc, do not turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, bullion st (bs) in each sc around. Fasten off.
