GAUGE

In Seed stitch, 18 sts and 22 rows = 4”/10cm

 

STITCHES USED

Garter stitch:

Knit every row.

Seed stitch:

Row 1: *K1, p1; rep from *.

Row 2: P the k sts, k the p sts as they face you.

Repeat Row 2 for Seed Stitch.

 

SPECIAL TERMS

Kfb: Knit in front and back of next st.

C4B: Slip next 2 sts to a cable needle (cn), hold in back of work, knit next 2 sts, knit 2 sts from cn.

C4F: Slip next 2 sts to a cable needle (cn), hold in front of work, knit next 2 sts, knit 2 sts from cn.

C6B: Slip next 3 sts to a cable needle (cn), hold in back of work, knit next 3 sts, knit 3 sts from cn.

C6F: Slip next 3 sts to a cable needle (cn), hold in front of work, knit next 3 sts, knit 3 sts from cn.

BLANKET

CO 145 sts loosely. Do not join; knit back and forth in rows.

Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: K5, *(p1, k1) 4 times, p1, k2, p4, k2, p9, k2, p4, k2, p1, k1; rep from * 3 times more, (p1, k1) 4 times, k4.

Row 3: K5, *(p1, k1) 4 times, k1, p2, C4B, p2, C6B, k3, p2, C4F, p2, k2; rep from * 3 times more, (p1, k1) 4 times, k4.

Repeat Rows 1-8 for patt until piece measures approximately 43” from CO edge, ending with patt Row 8.

BO all sts in knit.

 

FINISHING

Using yarn needle, weave in all loose ends.
