SPECIAL TERMS

BPdc: Back-post double crochet—Yarn over, insert hook from back to front and then to back again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up loop, complete as dc.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across, turn—12 sc.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in each st across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, [FPtr around next 2 sts, BPtr around next 2 sts] twice, FPtr around next 2 sts, dc in last st, turn—2 dc, 6 FPtr, and 4 BPtr.
Row 4: Ch 2 (counts as hdc here and throughout), [BPdc around next 2 sts, FPdc around next 2 sts] twice, BPdc around next 2 sts, hdc in last st, turn—2 hdc, 4 FPdc, and 6 BPdc.
Row 5: Ch 3, [BPtr around next 2 sts, FPtr around next 2 sts] twice, BPtr around next 2 sts, dc in last st, turn—2 dc, 6 BPtr, and 4 FPtr.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first dc, ch 1, open-shell in next sc, ch 1, sc in top of next pc, ch 1, open-shell in next sc, ch 1, sc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn—3 sc, 2 open-shells, and 4 ch-1 sps.

FINISHING
