GAUGE
In stitch pattern, 13 sts and 20 rows = 4"/10 cm. Gauge is not critical for this project.
STITCHES USED
Chain (ch), Double crochet (dc), Half double crochet (hdc) Single crochet (sc), Slip stitch (slip st), Treble crochet (tr).
SPECIAL TERMS
Drop Stitch (DS): Working around next ch-2 sp, dc in next skipped ch or st 2 rows below;
Double crochet decrease (dcdec): Keeping last loop of each st on hook, dc in next 2 ch-1 sps (skipping the tr, sc, and tr between the sps), yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook;
shell: ([tr, ch 1] 6 times, tr) in indicated st or sp;

Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), *2 DS, ch 2, sk next 2 sts; repeat from * to last ch-2 sp, 2 DS, hdc in last st changing to A, turn.
