GAUGE

In shell pattern, 7 shells and 14 rows = 5"/12.5cm.

Gauge is not critical for this project.

STITCHES USED

Chain (ch), double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (sl st)

SPECIAL STITCHES

shell: (Sc, 2 dc) in indicated stitch.

ssc: Shallow single crochet—Insert hook in body of indicated sc (under the top horizontal loops and between the vertical strands), yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook.

NOTES

1. Blanket is worked back and forth in rows, changing color at the end of every other row.

2. To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Do not fasten off old color, carry colors not in use up side of piece until next needed. Take care to hide carried strands when working trim.
