In patt rep Rnds 13-22, 10 sts = 2 ½”/6.5cm;  10 rows = 1 ¾”/4cm 

STITCHES USED

Stockinette stitch (St st)

Knit  every round.

SPECIAL TERMS

C2F = Knit into front of 2nd st on left-hand needle, then knit 1st st, slipping both sts off needle.
C2B = Knit into back of 2nd st on left-hand needle, then knit 1st st , slipping both sts off needle.

ssk = Slip 1 knitwise, k1, pass slipped st over.

COWL

With MC, CO 117 sts. Join and work in rounds.

Rnd 1: *K1, yo, k4, k2tog, ssk, k4, yo; rep from * around.

Rnd 2: K all sts.

Rnds 3-8: Rep Rnds 1-2.

Rnds 9-12: Change to CC and work in St st inc evenly 3 sts evenly spaced across Rnd 9--120 sts.
Rnd 13: Change to MC and work in St st.

Rnd 14: *P4, k3, p3; rep from * around.

Rnds 15-18: Change to CC, *k4, sl next 3 sts purlwise, holding yarn loosely in back of work, k3; rep from * around.
Rnd 19: *K3, C2F, sl 1 pwise, holding yarn in back of work, C2B, k2; rep from * around.

Rnds 20-22: Work in St st. On Rnd 22 take off marker, sl next 5 sts to left hand needle, place marker.
Rep Rnds 13-22, 7 times more. Change MC.

Rnds 23-32: Rep Rnds 1-2, 5 times. BO. Weave in ends.
