SPECIAL STITCH

BPsc: Back-post single crochet—Insert hook from back to front and then to back again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook.

NOTES

1. Skirt is worked in joined rounds, beginning at waist and working down to hem. Join with slip stitch at the end of each round.

2. To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color.

SKIRT

With A, ch 90 (105); taking care not to twist ch, join with sl st in first ch to form a large ring.

Round 1 (drawstring round): Ch 1, sc in first 1 (2) ch, ch 1, sk next ch, *sc in next ch, ch 1, sk next ch; repeat from * around; join with sl st in first sc—90 (105) sts (consisting of 45 (53) sc and 45 (52) ch-1 sps).

DRAWSTRING

With A, work a chain, 36 (40)"/91.5 (124.5)cm long. Fasten off.

FINISHING

Weave drawstring through ch-sps of Round 1 of skirt. Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.
